  • Hamad Al-AmerBoard Member & Managing Director

    Hamad Al Amer, a seasoned diplomat with over 40 years’ experience in Foreign Affairs, is the Managing Director of Infonas and a member of the Board of Directors. Prior to this he held the same role with 2Connect in Bahrain. Hamad started his career as Secretary to the Minister of Foreign Affairs in Bahrain, and in 1986 served as Consul General of Bahrain to India for six years. Following this, he was posted in 1991 as Ambassador to Iran. After moving back to Bahrain, Hamad held senior positions at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, serving eight years as Director of the GCC Directorate. In 2002, he was appointed Ambassador of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf to the European Union in Brussels and held that position for six years. Upon receiving a Royal Decree in 2008 and 2015, Hamad returned to Bahrain as Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Regional and Gulf Cooperation Council Affairs. In addition, throughout his successful career, he received three Medals of Efficiency from HIs Majesty the King. Hamad holds a BA in Literature from Ain Shams University, Cairo.

  • Liam HuntDirector, Global Business

    Having worked in the telecom and IT industry in both the UK and Middle East, where he has resided with his family for over 25 years, Liam's previous experience has seen him hold senior roles in a number of telecoms companies, all of which carry their own success stories. Liam has an active social life which also revolves around a number of sporting activities where he likes to spend his time relaxing, meeting people and generally enjoying the company of those around him.

  • Ijaz SamuelChief Financial Officer

    With over a decade in senior financial roles in the telecoms industry, Ijaz heads up the Finance, Human Resources and Administration departments within Infonas. Prior to this, Ijaz was CFO for 2Connect in Bahrain, and has previously worked in supervisory roles for both KPMG and BDO in their respective Audit departments for five years. During his tenure with these industry-leading audit firms, he worked with clients from such diverse industries as telecom, banking, insurance and manufacturing sectors providing external and internal audit services, due diligence assignments and business valuation services. Ijaz is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and previously gained a Diploma in Accounting from the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) UK.
