IT Help Desk

Main purpose:

To maintain and update Microsoft based platforms deployed in corporate environment which includes Office365, Azure AD, SQL Server, Windows Servers, Desktop OS, Productivity Suites, Attendance System, Helpdesk System, Access Control System, Network Shares, etc.

Scope of the Job:

Responsible for Microsoft based corporate server infrastructure and all desktop environment issues. Working on multiple projects and located in main office.

Main tasks & responsibilities:

  • Support staff in Microsoft OS and other Microsoft Windows related applications.
  • Support staff with Microsoft and other cloud services.
  • Interface with Vendor Support to resolve issues when identified as a vendor platform issue.
  • Assist vendor in implementing required integration as per requests and guidelines.
  • Assist Developers in integrating systems developed with existing Microsoft platforms as per engineering and management requests and guidelines
  • Maintain Helpdesk system and upgrades.
  • Provide documentation for all tasks.
  • Prepare regular and Ad-hoc activity reports
  • Maintain backups of all Microsoft servers

Problem solving & decision making:

  • Handles problems associated with:
    • Microsoft Servers and Services.
    • Staff Desktop and Workstation issues.
    • Office365 and cloud services.
  • Is required to take decisions independently in connection with:
    • Setting up hardware and services for new staff members within IT policies and guidelines.

Experience, education & qualifications:

  • Certifications in Microsoft Server platform
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2008
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2012
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2008
  • Microsoft Visual Basic (beneficial)
  • Microsoft Office 365
  • Microsoft Windows 10
  • Microsoft Azure
  • Other programming languages (beneficial)
  • CompTIA A+ Certified IT Enterprise Technician.
  • CompTIA Network+.
  • Microsoft Certified IT Professional
  • Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist
  • Microsoft Certified IT Professional
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Routing and Switching.
